5 Reasons for a Winter Wedding

Spring and Summer weddings are very popular but that might mean you’re limited for choice for the date you’ve set. Here are 5 reasons you might consider a Winter Wedding!

  1. More Choice of Suppliers

When there are less couples booking up the available dates, that means you’ve got more chance of engaging all of your preferred suppliers including florists, celebrants, makeup, hair stylists, event coordinators, event stylists, caterers and bands. Oh and event equipment too! Weeding Hire are already booking weddings and events for Summer of 2025, so Winter is certainly a good option!

2. Beautiful Photography

The light is great for photos, and often the landscape is lush too! There’s no squinting into the harsh sunlight. Ultimately a skilled, professional photographer will give you great shots from any season, but Winter might just give you a whole different vibe.

3. Guest Availability

There are SO MANY public events in Summer and Spring, and while the Winter event calendar has few great events too, peak season can be overwhelming with end-of-year work functions, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Australia Day. Even the couple themselves can be a bit more relaxed!

5. The Winter Vibe

It’s fresh, you can layer your outfits, and your wedding can take on a different vibe to a more traditional Summer wedding. It is always smart to think of some heating too, maybe even some fire pits for something a little more casual, or the jackets might just stay onto stay formal inside your marquee or event venue.
